Join us for our online service today. Walls do not make the church so don't let face-to-face meeting keep you from worshiping this morning.

Worship doesn't happen at a specific building or even with certain people. Join us tomorrow at 10:30a for online worship. Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I will be.

Dear South Suburban Family -

Earlier this week we communicated that we were diligently watching our state's health leaders responding to the Covid-19 virus.

Our board has decided to honor the Governor's request to suspend large group gatherings as much as possible. We are suspending large group ministries effective immediately through Saturday, April 4th. This includes Sunday Worship Services, Connect and Grow hour classes/groups, children and family ministry gatherings, Student Union Youth Group, and AWANA. This also includes weekly use of our facility by outside groups. The memorial service for Barry Moore will be held on Saturday, March 14 as planned.

At this time, the church office will remain open during normal business hours and as always, the church phone number will allow you to reach a Pastor any time of day.

At this time, we will plan on meeting as a church family on Sunday, April 5 to celebrate Palm Sunday together. However, we will monitor and communicate as needed responding to health updates. We encourage you to stay connected to your small group during this time and to remember our local, state, and national leaders as they respond and lead during this unprecedented time in our world. Also pray for our communities and your own spheres of influence during this time as everyone is affected differently as they navigate a seemingly uncertain world.

We will have an online devotional and time of encouragement online each Sunday at 10:30 am on this page.

It is a difficult decision to limit our gathering especially in light of our One Another series these past weeks. However, this decision involves "One Anothering" in a different way - limiting opportunities for illness to spread to within our community that can affect each person at different levels of intensity.

Please let us know if there are ministry needs for you or your family. Please continue to share prayer requests as well through info@ssefc.org.

On behalf of the board,

Scott Peterson
