Equipped for the King is a conference for women seeking to grow vibrant women's ministries in their local churches. South Suburban had the privilege of hosting one this past September 28-29th, 2007. There were so many amazing blessings that occurred while preparing for the Equipped for the King conference! The Lord was present in all the details and He made it a memorable event!
About 108 women from near and far enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship and biblical teaching. Our main speaker was former National Director of Women's Ministries for the EFCA, Dr. Elizabeth Inrig. Currently, she is the Director of Women's Ministries at Trinity Church in Redlands, CA www.trinityonline.org. Elizabeth taught on "Women Who Fear the Lord" and how our lives, both personally and in ministry, should display a holy and awesome fear of God. The fear of man is always a snare, but to fear the Lord is true wisdom!
Stunning purple and gold decorations, beautiful flowers, thoughtful gift bags, powerful praise & worship, effective workshops, solid biblical truth, delicious food, and more……Our awesome King was present at this conference and those who attended left refreshed, encouraged and mobilized for ministry!
