Just imagine our entire body -- both young and old -- reading through the same books, chapters and verses of the bible at the same time. Think of the benefits to the family of God:
- We would gain a greater understanding of the Biblical God and deepen our faith relationship with Him both individually and corporately. (Romans 10:17 and John 10:27)
- We could grow in unity and maturity. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- We would be assured of salvation Christ purchased. (James 1:21)
- We would better address the daily circumstances of life. (Mt 4:4)
- And much, much more...
SSEFC has decided to take that journey together this year. Thru the Bible in 2010 is a simple plan. Each day we read through 2 bite size sections of God’s word.
- Average daily reading time is less than thirty minutes.
- There is no scheduled reading on the seventh day each week for the purpose of catching up or reflection.
- Only 25 days a month are scheduled for reading which lessens the frustration or concerns about falling behind.
- Anyone at anytime can jump in to Thru the Bible in 2010.
- Reading plans are available in the Foyer of the Church. Look for the kiosk with the blue and gold Thru the Bible in 2010 banner.
- The reading plan is also available as a PDF online for you to print at home.
Each week on our Facebook group blog, we will publish a Bible Question of the Week related to the week's scheduled readings, allowing you to interact with others that are reading the same passages and answering the questions. Facebook is free and easy to use.
