SSEFC Missions Council

This year has been a year of investigation, research and new events for the Missions Council.    Along with the newness of our expanded church facilities and emphasis on corporate worship, the council has sought to bring a fresh approach to activities and programming to the congregation.  New this year was an ABF Missions Summer Social and an invigorating gospel concert worship service as part of the fall conference weekend. 

We believe that the work of missionaries is not just for those who have taken an assignment as a missionary in a full-time capacity but is part of what each and every believer can do.  Prayerfully, Missions Conference weekend has shown you the three faces of missions work at the local/national, international and church planting level. 

At the local level, the council wants to involve SSEFC in missions work in a very real and meaningful way.    More than simply showcasing what those who we support are doing, we want to provide opportunities for each attendee of this church to be more than an arm-chair missionary.

So how can you get involved in missions work?

•  Pray for missionaries worldwide and pray for the activities of this council.
•  Join the Missions Council right here at SSEFC.
•  Participate in SSEFC White Cross activities. 
•  Join us on a short-term missions trip.
•  Provide us with your ideas concerning how you feel the Missions Council can make missions ministry at SSEFC a more meaningful and engaging activity and then get involved.
