South Suburban Evangelical Free Church is committed to growing in grace and knowledge of God in community.

Adult Bible Fellowships

At 9:00 on Sunday mornings the adult Bible fellowships meet. These are groups of 7 – 50 people who are committed to caring for one another, helping each other grow in their faith, and working together to advance the gospel. They are a comfortable place for guests to become familiar with community life at South Suburban.

Christ in Real Life: This summer all the adult groups gather in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00 a.m. for worship, Bible study, and community connections.

  • June – Christ and Truth
  • July – Christ and Relationships
  • August – Christ and Destiny

Faith Trekkers (Room E254)

These are the voyages of the Faith Trekkers. Our continuing mission: to explore Old and New Testaments, to seek out new life in God’s kingdom, to boldly drink stronger coffee than all the saints who have gone before! While this crew is typically comprised of parents with school-aged children, we welcome any life forms with a sense of humor. Class notes are available at our Faith Trekkers website.

Transformers (Room E253)

In Romans 12, Paul urges, “Be transformed by the renewal of your minds.” This group is generally made up of people whose children are entering their teenage and college years, but the group is open to anyone interested in transforming his or her life through fellowship focused around Bible study.

Sojourners (Room 255)

This group of individuals and couples, mostly in their 50s and beyond, looks for opportunities to be connected and loved in the church. Our focus is on fellowship, prayer, and Bible study.

Elective on Community (Fellowship Hall)

This is a follow-up class to the short course on Authentic Community. Currently we are exploring interactive community: How does faith interact with all aspects of our life?Through growing in our relationships with one another, we want to ultimately grow in our relationship to God. All ages are welcome!

Women’s Book Club

The book club meets on a Thursday evening every four to six weeks, usually in the Journey Room but locations can vary. You and your friends are welcome anytime, even if you didn’t read the selected book. We usually discuss Christian fiction: contemporary, historical, romance, suspense, and occasionally nonfiction.

Next Book Club get together is on April 6th.   Read the book or watch the movie “Risen” by Angela Hunt and then we get together and discuss.  Contact below for location.
